Week 2: 'In the Books'

Greetings from Tallahassee!

It was great to see so many of you in my office this week. Your input is valuable to me and I appreciate every visit.

Groups from the Levy County Public Library system, the Cattleman’s Association, Clerk of Courts from several of the counties I represent, students from the W illiston Middle School FFA, and numerous others stopped by to discuss issues relating to their organizations.

It is always my pleasure to see so many of you in Tallahassee engaged in the government process and sharing your concerns.

Also this week, I was proud to pass several of my bills through their committees of reference. These bills strengthen penalties for lying to law enforcement officers and help convicted offenders adjust back to life outside of thep rison system.

As a former Sheriff, I understand how important it is for our law enforcement officers to have access to accurate and correct information when conducting an investigation, and also how critical it is to insure those who have been incarcerated have the support they need to transition back to society.

As always, it is my honor to serve you in the Florida Senate. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of service to you.

Sincerely,

Charles S. Dean
