Week 3: Bills passed through committee

Greetings from Tallahassee!

Week 3 brought hard work and success with the passage of several of my bills through committee and more visits from my constituents.

First and foremost this week, I was proud to pass my bill creating aFreemasonry license plate through its first committee of reference. As a 50 year Master Mason, this particular issue is very important to me. It is essential to care for our Senior Masons who have provided so much to us and this option to purchase a license plate to benefit the MasonicHome of Florida is a great way to show our support.

Also, my bill which penalizes those who file false liens, mortgages, and other documents against a person’s personal property moved through its second committee of reference this week. We must protect our citizens against those who cause them harm.

Finally, it was great to be visited by so many of you this week as part of Citrus County Days at theCapitol and FloridaLeague of Cities Advocacy Days. I am always pleased to have visitors from my district who bring their concerns and priorities to the Capitol.

As always, it is my honor to serve you in the Florida Senate. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of service to you.

Sincerely,

Charles S. Dean
