2013 Legislative Session ends

The Legislative Session has come to an end!

I was proud of our work this Session, from passing bills which protected veterans’ organizations from fraud, benefitted Florida’s environment, protected our Supreme Court Justices, and so much more.

I am very excited by the inclusion of $10 million for springs protection in the budget. Senator Negron’s recognition of my request will have a direct impact on Florida’s springs, and allow the state to protect our springs and preserve them for future generations.

As Chair of the Senate Environmental Preservation and Conservation Committee, this was among my top priorities this Session. The budget we passed will also benefit our students, our state workers, our teachers and Florida's families, and I am excited by its passage.

However, I could not have accomplished any of this without your support. Thank you for reading my weekly newsletter each week, and thank you for your emails, calls faxes and visits.

Without your input, it is impossible for me to know what is important to my constituents. I value each and every message I receive.

It is my honor to serve you in the Florida Senate, and I am already looking forward to next year's Session.

If I can ever be of service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.

Sen. Charles S. Dean
