CCHB enters into due diligence phase with HCA

INVERNESS - The Citrus County Hospital Board of Trustees (CCHB) today announced that it has entered into the due diligence phase with the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) to lease the Citrus Memorial Hospital.

“HCA’s due diligence commenced in earnest today, marking the start of HCA’s evaluation of the hospital’s operations,” said Trey Crabb, Ziegler Managing Director and transaction consultant.  “We are looking forward to working closely with HCA, the Foundation and the hospital as we move into this critical phase of the transaction.”

“Thank you to our friends at the Foundation for collectively working with us to arrive at this point in the process of leasing the Citrus Memorial Hospital to HCA,” said CCHB Chairwoman Debbie Ressler, BSN.  “A lot of thoughtful planning has gone into the process to bring us to where we are today, and we are very pleased to be entering the due diligence phase that will allow us to become one step closer to ensuring our Citrus County communities have health care secured for generations to come.”

The master settlement agreement has been under negation for some time and is expected to be taken up by the Citrus Memorial Health Foundation at their next noticed meeting scheduled for this Monday, January 27, 2014.
