All three B&GC neighborhood clubs open for summer camps

Boys & Girls Clubs of Citrus County

Great things happen at the Boys and Girls Clubs, and summer is no exception.

Outdoor  activities,  arts and crafts, cooking,  and science and robotics sessions  will focus on a different theme each week, including Beach Party, Time Warp, Movie Week and more.

The clubs help retain reading skills with the Summer Brain Gain that incorporates the arts and youth mentoring.  The B&GC provide local field trips for swimming and bowling. Day trips are planned by age bracket to either Tampa's  Museum of Science and Industry,  or Lowry Park Zoo.

Summer can be difficult on parents so THE B&GC MAKES it easy for you.  Choose the location that works best for your family: Beverly Hills, Inverness or Homosassa.  Choose the week or weeks that suit your family: The B&GC are open May 27 through Aug. 1. Hours are from 7 am to 6 pm to help your child develop the skills to reach his or her full potential.  Ages 5-18 are welcome, and the B&GC provide fun learning experiences focused on age.

So make the summer easier on you, more active for your child. The B&GC charge a reasonable rate of $75 per week,  and offer a 20 percent sibling discount.  We also have a daily drop in rate for those who are unable to commit to a full week.

If you have never taken advantage of the clubs, there is a one time per year $15 membership registration fee. Scholarships will be available.  Check out the B&GC website at www.bgccitrus.org for details. You may also call or stop in at the club location of your choosing.
