State Sen. Charlie DeanWith one week left in Session, the Florida Legislature continued to work this week on the budget. The Florida Senate also met on the Floor to continue moving bills through the Legislature.

I was especially proud this week to pass several of my bills through their respective committees of reference.

These bills included legislative priorities for several Departments which passed through the Senate Committee on Appropriations, as well as the Springs Protection Act, which passed its final committee of reference on Tuesday and is now ready to be heard on the Floor of the Senate.

I am encouraged by its progress and I look forward to working with my colleagues to see this bill through the Legislative process.

I was also excited to be visited by so many of my constituents this week.

One of the visits included members of 4-H from Marion and Gilchrist counties. These students are our future, and I was excited to be able to spend a bit of time with them.

As we move into the last week of Session, your input is critical to me. Please be sure to share your concerns with me at any time via email, phone call, or visit.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if I may ever be of service to you. It is my honor to serve you in Tallahassee.

Sincerely,
Sen. Charles S. Dean
