The Citrus County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), has Disaster Assistance Survivor Teams (DSAT) working in two areas in Citrus County.

One team will be in Inverness, around the area of South Highlands. The other team will be in the area of and around South Withlapopka Drive, Floral City.

The FEMA teams will be surveying for damage due to Hurricane Irma and help residents apply for Individual Assistance. Team members will wear official FEMA identification cards and will be going door to door.

The Sheriff's Office has advised that if someone comes to your door, do not open it unless you have verified that they are displaying their FEMA identification card.
