The Citrus County Property Appraiser's website and Manatee County Property Appraiser were hacked on Monday.

It is thought that Iranian hackers took down the sites, and some media have reported that the two sites had an image with the words, "Hacked" and "Hacked by Iranian Hackers."

"You may have seen that our Property Appraiser website has supposedly been hacked," wrote Citrus County Property Appraiser Les Cook on the appraiser's facebook page on Monday night.

"The issue is being addressed and we hope to have our page back up very soon. We apologize for the inconvenience and if you have any questions or need assistance please contact our office at either 352-341-6600 or 352-564-7130. We are always happy to assist you," Cook wrote.

It is unknown if any personal information was stolen by the hackers. The sites were still down on Monday night.
