Mobile home, RV parks fire assessment adjustments

In accordance with Resolution 2013-115 Section 5, each owner of mobile home park or recreational vehicle (RV) park property will be given the opportunity to demonstrate the vacancy rate in space occupancy within such property and receive a vacancy adjustment to the Fire Protection Assessments that was approved on July 23, 2013.

Applications are now available and can be submitted to the County on or before May 1st. A determination will be based on evidence of a vacancy rate provided by the property owner. The vacancy rate shall be defined as the percentage of available spaces within a mobile home or RV park that were vacant between January 1, 2016 through and including December 31, 2016.

The following information must be given to be considered eligible for a vacancy adjustment:

* Applicant must be the owner of the property
* Applicant shall complete the application in full, including the vacancy rate calculation (formula provided on application)

Applications and supporting documentation must be submitted in person or by mail. No applications submitted by email will be considered. The property owner must be able to provide the Tax Parcel ID number when completing the application and signature is required.
