Ressler to resign from charitable foundation

Debbie Ressler will be resigning from the Citrus County Community Charitable Foundation (CCCCF).

Her resignation from the volunteer board will be effective June 1.
 

Ressler on Thursday said she and her husband will be making frequent trips to North Carolina to visit her two grandsons and that she won’t be able to devote the necessary time to adequately fulfill her duties on the CCCCF board.

Ressler has resided full time in Citrus County since 2005, moving here from being a longtime resident of Hillsborough County. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, and as a Critical Care Nurse, has worked at St Josephs Hospital, H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa General Hospital and at Citrus Memorial Hospital.
 
In July, 2009 she was appointed to the Citrus County Hospital Board by Gov Charlie Crist, and received a reappointment in 2013 from Gov Rick Scott. In addition to serving on the CCHB, she has been a Guardian Ad Litem for several years, serving as the court appointed representative for many children in the Citrus County courts.
 
She has served on the CCCCF, Inc. as Board Director and Secretary Treasurer since 2014. In addition to being a director and officer she is currently a member of the Grants Committee, Bylaws, and communication committees.
 
Ressler is also a member of Altrusa, serves as Secretary and Board Director for Citrus United Basket (CUB), serves on leadership team for local Republican Club, is a Citrus County Commission-appointed member of Stakeholders Advisory Committee, and serves on the CMH/HCA Advisory Board.
