Suspect identified in Sunday's chase, shooting

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office on Monday identified the man who was said to have shot at the Sabal Trail pipeline, then fled and was later killed by deputies in Citrus County.
 
The man has been identified as Leroy Marker, 66, of 150 Smallwood Dr., Chokoloskee, Fla.
 
Marker died of his injuries after engaging law enforcement officers and was shot and killed.

Each year, Citrus County 4-H members compete at the county and district level to demonstrate what they have learned through their 4-H work.
 
Through this demonstration of knowledge and skills, 4-H youth reflect mastery – one of the essential elements of 4-H youth development. 
 
This year, more than 100 youths participated at 4-H County Events Day held at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness. The young people showcased their project work with Demonstrations and Illustrated Talks, Public Speaking and Share the Fun.
