Health Dept. slates Florida Healthy Babies community meetings

The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County is pleased to announce it will be hosting a series of community meetings to discuss local maternal and infant health data and develop a plan to address infant mortality as part of the Florida Healthy Babies Initiative.

Seven Rivers' CEO Brancato to retire

Joyce Brancato, chief executive officer of Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center.Joyce Brancato, chief executive officer of Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, has announced that she will retire on Aug. 5 after 30 years at the hospital.

Brancato first joined the hospital on that date in 1985 as a night shift charge nurse in the intensive care unit. Over the succeeding years, she served in a number of roles across the organization including quality coordinator and risk manager.

INVERNESS -- In the presence of the public and Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) President of West Florida Division Peter Marmerstein, the Citrus County Hospital Board of Trustees (CCHB) today signed the master agreement and lease agreement to transfer operations of the Citrus Memorial Hospital to the HCA.
