Sheriff’s Office returns $273,610 to county coffers

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office today announced it's returning $273, 610 from its operating budget to county coffers.

The CCSO says that the monies were raised through fees,  such as those associated with serving civil process or fulfilling public records requests, or from savings realized by conservative measures taken on essentials like fuel consumption.

Specifically, the more-than-a-quarter-of-a-million dollars was garnered from the agency’s general fund ($142,109.55), as well as from its budget component for Judicial Services ($131,499.71).
