Nugent honors county veterans

BOCC honors utilities dept. for EPA award

The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners on Nov. 15 acknowledged receipt of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Promotional Partner of the Year award for Citrus County Utilities’ water conservation program at their regular meeting.
 
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized Citrus County Utilities with a 2016 WaterSense Partner of the Year Award as a leader in saving water for future generations. Citrus County Utilities was honored at the WaterSmart Innovations Conference on Oct. 6 for promoting water efficiency and WaterSense in 2015.

The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners on Nov. 15 presented a Proclamation proclaiming Nov. 16-23, 2016 as National Farm-City Week in Citrus County.

Road resurfacing issue paves way for discussion

Scarcely had three new county commissioners taken the oath of office and been seated on Tuesday than Citrus Springs residents brought complaints to the open to the public portion of the commission meeting accusing the county of not doing enough to repave their residential roads.
